Purpose of this site

The analysis of up-to-date data is an integral part of program planning and decision-making.  With the introduction of the new public health standards, the Eastern Ontario Health Unit (EOHU) is striving to expand its use of health-related data.  This website provides a summary of important health indicators, specifically geared to the populations residing in the united counties of Stormont-Dundas-Glengarry, Prescott-Russell, and the city of Cornwall.  Data may be reproduced with due credit given to the Eastern Ontario Health Unit (EOHU) and the appropriate data source(s).

NOTE: Unless otherwise specified, the data presented are for the Eastern Ontario Health Unit's population.

The information presented here is not meant to be an exhaustive list of current health data, but rather a summary of important information.  The data are divided into 11 categories, listed in the left-hand frame.  Data will be updated yearly, as available and appropriate.
