Food Premises Disclosure System: Operator Information Guide

If you would like to request a copy of a food establishment inspection done prior to this date or if you’re looking for a report of an establishment that is no longer in business, please fill out a request form. The form is available on the Eastern Ontario Health Unit (EOHU) website or at the EOHU office nearest you. Please note that you need to fill one form per establishment.

Food Establishment Inspections

The Eastern Ontario Health Unit is mandated under the Ontario Health Protection and Promotion Act to inspect all food premises to make sure that food is stored, prepared and served safely. Establishments that are inspected include restaurants, cafeterias, chip stands, catering services, food and convenience stores, daycares and nurseries, long-term care homes and lodging homes, and more.

Results of the inspection are recorded in a food safety inspection report. A summary of this report is posted on this site shortly after the inspection and includes any infractions (violations of food safety standards) that are found at the establishment.
