2006 TV Turnoff Challenge
2006-04-04

Mark your calendars! The TV Turn-Off Challenge will be held again this year. It will take place from April 24 to 30, 2006.

All students from JK to Grade 6 will receive a logbook. Grade 7 and 8 students may pick up a logbook from the school secretary. The purpose of the challenge is to take a healthy break from TV, video and computer games, and films in order to refocus on activities that are more physically, academically and socially rewarding.

Children who successfully complete the challenge are eligible to win fun packs containing sports equipment worth $80. This year, the schools with the highest participation will be eligible to win an Esteem Team presentation for their school. The Esteem Team members are high profile athletes who offer interactive presentations on issues that affect youth. For more information on the Esteem Team, visit their website at www.esteemteam.com.
