Safe Grad in Cornwall

Cornwall students saw first hand what can happen when you drink and drive. The scenario was simple: students got into a car with a drunk driver after the prom, the driver ran a red light and crashed into another car. Despite the best efforts of the paramedics, the firefighters and their jaws of life, the front passenger died on the scene from her injuries. The driver was arrested.

This simulation was part of the Safe Grad program, which is targeted at graduating students who will be going to prom. After the simulation, the students were educated on options to driving drunk such as having a designated driver, calling a cab or calling a family member or a friend.
