Accredited Educational Program: Influenza
An accredited educational program developed by MOHLTC to help health care professionals manage the influenza season includes the following recommendations from the National Advisory Committee on Immunization (NACI):
· two changes for the recipients of influenza vaccine;
· avoiding re-vaccination if a previous immunization led to developing Guillain-Barré Syndrome within 6 weeks; and
· changing the formulation for the 2012/2013 vaccine to include two new strains of the influenza virus.
