The Health Line is a free and bilingual telephone service providing healthy lifestyle information to the residents of the counties of Stormont, Glengarry, Dundas, Prescott and Russell, and the city of Cornwall. The Health Line also provides postnatal follow-ups within 48 hours after a new mother leaves the hospital after giving birth.

  • receive a list of proper immunization before travelling outside of Canada based on your itinerary, as well as a list of precautions to take
  • advise the Eastern Ontario Health Unit that your child has received a vaccine
  • receive information on lifestyle issues such as child care and development, injury prevention, tobacco, physical activity, nutrition or early detection of cancer
  • register for courses, workshops and information sessions organized by the Health Unit
  • get information on the programs and services we offer
  • report animal biting incidents to prevent the incidence of rabies in humans
  • receive referrals to community resources and services
