School Readiness
Research has shown that the first five years of a child’s life are the foundation for developing a child’s ability to learn and create. A child’s ability to listen, feel and reason is formed during the first few years of life. The brain development of a child during the first few years of his life is therefore very important to ensure school readiness. This includes physical, emotional, speech and language, social and cognitive development. Daycare providers, parents, teachers, family and physicians play an important role in getting a child ready to enter school.
