The Eastern Ontario Health Unit has set up an emergency plan in the event of a health emergency or pandemic. The emergency plan covers the five counties of Stormont, Dundas, Glengarry, Prescott and Russell and the City of Cornwall.

Prevention is key and the Health Unit recommends a number of health measures to prevent the spread of infectious diseases in your facility.

Institutions need to have an emergency plan in place as well as a business continuity plan. The Eastern Ontario Health Unit has developed a checklist to assist you in developing your pandemic plan. Be prepared for emergencies and plan for the unexpected.
